Command Schoolに入ったEnderのマンツーマンの教師は、Formic戦争の伝説的英雄Mazer Rackhamだった。凝り返される3Dのシュミレーションは熾烈を極め、正気を失いかけたこともあるEnderだったが、どうにか最終試験にまで辿り着くのだった…。
"Command School"編・完結。
前半でEnderとやりあったBonzoは死んでしまったそうです。勿論、Enderには知らされていませんが。
Command Schoolに入った一年後にMazer Rackhamが、Enderの教師になります。彼のモットーは、
"There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will ever tell you what the enemy is going to do. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak, where you are strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you."
う～ん、なるほど。これは勉強にも言えそうですね。
同時期に"Battle School"の仲間たちも合流して、もっぱら３Dシュミレーションがメインになって行き、連戦に継ぐ連戦でEnderたちはくたくたに。
やがて、最終試験。見事に彼らはクリアーするのですが、そこでちょっとここには書けない意外な事実が判明します…。
