X-MEN のキャラクターが詳しく解説されている本の1冊。
X-MEN は歴史も長く、タイトル数、キャラクター数も膨大なので、途中から X-MEN シリーズを読む場合に、重宝します。

ただ、この１冊に限っていうならば、これはアップデートともいうべきもので、主なキャラクターについては別のハンドブックを参照するように書かれています。
しかも、"MESSIAH COMPLEX" に関係ないキャラが半数以上を占め、タイトルには疑問が残ります。
正直、この本を買わないでも、Marvel のサイトで十分な気がします。
