Professor Charles Xavierの元、ミュータントのために創られた学校の第一期生の５人、Scott Summers(Cyclops), Jean Grey(Marvel Girl), Henry "Hank" Mccoy(Beast), Warren Worthington Ⅲ(Angel), Bobby Drake(Iceman)。これらは、そのファーストクラスの彼らの語られなかったストーリーである。
映画化の企画も進行中ということで読んでみました。全８話。
お話自体は本当にX-Menの初期ですが、E-Mail、ファッション、会話等から現代風にアレンジされていることがわかります。
語られていないストーリーということなので、メインの話には触れないのかもしれませんが、X-Men入門には読み易いこちらのほうがおススメかも知れません。
第１回目の本作は、Bobby(Iceman)の語りで進行してゆきます。
謎の生物を追ってグリーンランドまで行くお話しです。
Scott(Cyclops)がリーダーをやりたくてやっているわけではないことなど、心理面の描写もしっかりしていて、なかなか興味深いです。
ちなみに映画の企画ですが、
X-Men 4
New Mutats
X-Men: First Class
Deadpool
X-Men Origins: Magneto
X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2
などがあるようです。どれも実現して欲しいですね。
